I was born in San Piero in Bagno, a little village surrounded by the Apennines in the region of Emila-Romagna. When I was 18 I had the chance to come to Siena, so I moved to this beautiful city in order to begin my studies.

Over the years I got to know Siena and its wonders while I also traveled around several European countries (England, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Croatia) and learned about different cultures. It is always amazing to discover the differences and the similarities between people from different parts of the world—what they eat, how they relate to each other, what they expect from life. And it is even more interesting to investigate the subtleties of languages, seeing how language shapes the mind of a community and how it changes together with the society to which it belongs.
