L'Epifania tutte le feste porta via

As every 5th of January of every year, kids are waiting for the Befana to bring them candies and little presents. Tonight, this ugly but nice old woman will pass by our houses to fill the long socks left in the chimney or next to the door. Tomorrow afternoon in Siena the Befana will climb down the beautiful façade of Palazzo Pubblico in Piazza del Campo, according to the city’s tradition.

As we say “l’Epifania tutte le feste porta via”: it means that the 6th of January is the last day of holyday, the Epiphany closes the long break started with Christmas Eve, so we’ll definitely enjoy this day! And after that we’ll be ready to go back to School.

The Siena School staff wishes to everybody a great 2017!
